Digital broadcasting and Pro Audio
Are you looking for internet radio receivers and transmitters that are suitable for professional audio installations? As the North American distributor for Streamit, we can provide SIR receivers and SAS transmitters to both Canada and the USA.
While researching and implementing church phone systems, we discovered a Dutch company called Streamit. After discovering that Streamit not only provides a complete audio broadcasting platform for churches, but also products targeted specifically at various pro-audio situations, we established a reseller relationship for Canada and the United States.
The SIR radios come in a few flavours: SIR80, SIR100, and SIR120. The top model (SIR120PRO) includes SD card for recording and balanced XLR outputs.
The SAS provides the opposite functionality of SIR: it takes an analog signal, encodes it to digital format, then streams it to an Icecast server. SIR and Lukas internet radios can then receive the MP3 or Ogg Vorbis stream from Icecast.
All of the above mentioned devices are dedicated; there is no need to install any special software on your PC. Definitely check out the Streamit website for more details including technical specs.
We also specialize in church internet radio solutions. Also know as church phone or church radio, internet radio to allow shutins, the elderly, families with small or infirm children, and people who cannot attend regularly to due to distance limitations.

Icecast expertise
On a very related note, we now have the Icecast expertise in-house, including installation, configuration, tuning, and redundancy setup using fallback mounts. We have also built our own provisioning system for SIR and Lukas T/E/II devices. One of the key components to this platform is integrated access to over 15,000 local dialup access numbers across North America.
VoIP integration
An interesting twist on mp3 digital broadcasting is integration with telephony using PRIs or VoIP. We have solutions onhand to either push audio from Asterisk conference up to Icecast, or playback an Icecast stream into the Asterisk conference for participants to listen to.
