What is your role at the company, and what are your key responsibilities?
I am the Operations Specialist at KTI in addition to the other Culture Core Group companies. I manage operations, including tool administration, reporting, and process improvements, while supporting HR tasks like onboarding and payroll, overseeing financial reconciliations, and driving automation and efficiency initiatives.
How long have you been working in your current position, and what led you to this role?
I joined KTI in 2022, seeking a change in industry and was immediately drawn to KTI's mission and dedication to its staff. Their commitment to culture, core values, and vision for unlocking potential made it clear that KTI was the perfect fit for me.
Can you describe a typical day in your job?
My day often changes depending on the projects we’re working on and recurring tasks like reviews, invoicing, and payroll. Some days are focused on meetings and collaboration, while others involve diving into reports, process improvements, or problem-solving. No two days are ever the same, which keeps things interesting!
What projects or accomplishments are you most proud of in your career?
I’m proud of my commitment to continuous learning and growth. Earning my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt has been a key milestone, and I’m now pursuing certification as a Continuous Improvement Specialist to further refine my skills in process optimization and driving impactful change.
How do you collaborate with other team members to achieve your goals?
We collaborate through regular team huddles and project meetings, ensuring everyone stays aligned. We also use tools like MS Teams, Slack, and email for communication, along with Confluence and SharePoint to share documents, files, and SOPs seamlessly.
What are some recent developments or innovations in your field that you find exciting?
Recent innovations in operations that excite me include the use of modern tools to streamline documentation and enhance organization. These tools make it easier to collaborate, share information efficiently, and improve overall communication within teams.
What’s your number 1 tech tip (that you personally use) to our audience?
My number one tech tip is to always use two-factor authentication (2FA) for all your accounts when possible. It’s a simple yet powerful way to enhance your security and protect your data.

What's your favourite way to unwind after a long day at work?
After a long day, I love unwinding by taking my dog Oscar for a walk through the neighborhood with my husband. Then, I relax by either watching a movie or curling up with a good book.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work that you're passionate about?
I love spending time with my dog and working on new skills together at his dog school. It’s not only rewarding but also a great way to connect with an amazing community of fellow dog lovers!
Are there any books, movies, or TV shows you've been enjoying lately?
This spring, I rediscovered my love for reading and have been diving into the fantasy genre. I recently finished The Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros and am eagerly awaiting the release of the third book next year. As George R.R. Martin says, “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.”
On the TV side, I’ve just started watching the medical drama The Resident on Netflix, and it’s been really engaging so far!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I absolutely love to travel and feel fortunate to have explored many amazing places. While my list of dream destinations is always growing, the UK is currently at the top. I’d love to visit England, Scotland, and Ireland to experience the rich history and breathtaking scenery.
What's your favourite type of cuisine or restaurant, and what dish can you never resist ordering?
I absolutely love Italian cuisine, and penne alla vodka is my favorite dish—it’s a classic I can never pass up!
Can you share a fun or interesting fact about yourself that most people at the company don't know?
A fun fact about me that most people don’t know is that I’m allergic to uncooked celery—it’s definitely an unexpected allergy!
Do you have any pets? If so, tell us about them!
I’m a proud dog mom to Oscar, my three-year-old miniature dachshund. He’s full of energy, loves playing fetch, and is always eager to learn new tricks!
What's your go-to music playlist or artist for getting pumped up before a busy day?
I have a pretty diverse taste in music, but I really enjoy country pop music (Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, etc.), and Taylor Swift is definitely one of my go-to artists to get pumped up before a busy day!
What's your favorite quote or piece of advice that you live by?
I live by Audrey Hepburn's inspiring words: “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, ‘I’m possible!’” It’s a powerful reminder to embrace challenges with confidence and optimism.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be, and how would you use it?
Teleportation would be my superpower of choice! It would save me from the hassle of traffic and make traveling the world a breeze, letting me explore new places instantly.
