Are you ramping up your Remote Work efforts? Especially if you’re already paying for a Microsoft Office 365 subscription already, you should check out Teams. Chances are that you’ve probably heard about it before. This is included with almost every subscription at no extra charge. It’s a powerful way to share documents, files, have discussions, video chat, web meetings and more. All without paying for additional services like Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, GotoMeeting and more. There is a place for email, but tools like Slack and Teams are often more effective and quicker to communicate with. And, if you store documents in Sharepoint, the collaboration around them is so much better with Teams compared to emailing back and forth because everything is in one place.

We are here to help if you want to get this setup and integrated and the basics going. Here is some free training (on YouTube) from BiggerBrains to give you a taste of what is possible. It’s five videos, total time about an hour. The topics are:

  1. Teams and Channels
  2. Chat and Meetings
  3. Best Practices – Teams and Channels
  4. Best Practices – Notifications and Chat
  5. Best Practices – Files and Meetings

Hope that helps. We are here to help as best as we can with using tech to help people talk and socialize about their work (perhaps even more productively then from a traditional office) while thinking about the security risks with you.
